An autoblog or automated blog is one common way for you to get backlinks to your site. There are many plugins that are free to download and provide premium items that will create and improve your autoblog. In fact, there are so many effective ones that the one you choose merely depends on the blog you want and the RSS feeds that you’re interested in.

What You Need

Setup Steps

  1. Make a list of subjects your autoblog could tackle.

  2. Choose the one that gets you more than enough RSS feeds.

  3. Install WordPress.

  4. On your WordPress admin area, go to Plugins > Add New found on the left panel.

  5. Type in the name of the plugin, i.e. WP RSS Aggregator, on the search bar on the top right. Go to https://www.wprssaggregator.com/extension/advanced-feeds-bundle/ and choose a type of license: Single, Five Sites, Twenty Sites.

Install and activate your plugin. If you want video incorporated in your content, RSS Aggregator lets you play videos from YouTube, DailyMotion and Vimeo. Here’s how you set it up:

  1. Go to RSS Aggregator > Add New from the left panel.

  2. Enter a feed source title then provide the RSS Feed URL.

  3. Scroll down to Feed to Post and choose a post type from the drop down menu.

  4. By default, all imports will be drafts. Change it by clicking on the drop down below Post Type.

  5. Click the box on Enable Comments and Force Full Content.

  6. Go to the Images section and enable Import Images and Enable featured images > Setup your image minimum dimensions.

  7. Choose which image will be your featured image from the drop down menu.

  8. Click on Publish Feed > Repeat to add more sources.

  9. Check how your posts fair with the current theme that you have. Any styling issues are handled by your theme and not RSS Aggregator so you may need to change it if you’re not happy.

  10. Choose a clean premium theme like Gather. You can also choose from the free themes and check out a theme that looks similar.

Marketing Setup

  1. Make sure you have an optimized landing page.

  2. Build an email list by offering an incentive for signing up.

  3. Give credit to your sources to encourage them to do the same.

  4. Make sharing easier by adding social media buttons.

  5. Create a regular schedule to send out newsletters.

  6. Signup to different content and social media sites; share your content and connect them to your blog.
